Freedom Writers

This is a movie that helps you think about things you don't often think about. At least, I don't often think about them. It has a very good story line, and while it may be a bit overly dramatic at times, it is definitely a movie that will make you want to do a bit better to change the world in any small way you can.

Plus, with Dr. McDreamy in it (Patrick Dempsey), that's a bonus right there.

Amazing Grace

I would recommend this movie to everyone. Not only did it teach me a LOT about Black history in England, it had good values, an interesting plot, and pretty good actors. It did seem a mite long at the time, but that may have been just because I was tired. Not necessarily the type of movie to watch at a party, but uplifting and inspiring.

TMNT

Elise's comments: "Another Mutant Teenage Turtle Ninja, only with cool graphics and without the 80s aura."
Dan's comments: "Five stars. Good amount of action, good amount of comedy, good animation. Good amount of romance. ('Dan! There wasn't any romance!' 'Yeah huh, she was concerned for him and there was a kiss at the end!') One of the best movies I've seen lately."

This movie, while being quite serious and set in the time of the great depression, shows how a good man struggles to succeed, overcoming physical and emotional obstacles.

"Here is a movie where a good man prevails in a world where every day is an invitation to despair." -Roger Ebert
